Certain things have to be done
in the right order. For example:
-
The Co-ordinator is not offered the
button for approving an Award until all of the sections have been
approved as completed.
-
The Co-ordinator is not offered the
button for completing a section until the Participant has requested such
completion (which, curiously, he/she is able to do without having
submitted any Evidence. Co-ordinators should not approve completion
under these circumstances, as the Keeping Track page is required as a
minimum).
-
The Co-ordinator is not offered the
button for approving an Award if there is any Evidence awaiting
approval, and the button for approving it is not available until the
Participant has pressed the Request Approval button
|
So the golden rule for Participants
is that after entering Aims, Objectives, Evidence, etc, they
must always navigate to the bottom of the page to find the
Request Approval button and press it. This is counter-intuitive,
as Young People tend to assume that everything relevant is
visible without navigation, and that if they press any old
button the system will know what they intend. |
